Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the movement of goods by connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation solutions. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the supply chain, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with carriers and shippers to facilitate freight movement.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Manage the logistics of shipments, including dispatching and tracking freight.
• Utilize data entry skills to maintain accurate records of shipments and transactions.
• Generate leads for new business opportunities within the transportation industry.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other relevant industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in carrier sales, transportation sales, or dispatching is preferred.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
• Ability to generate leads and develop new business relationships effectively.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with various stakeholders.
• Negotiate freight rates and arrange shipments.
