Job Description:
As a Freight Broker Agent with Freight Connectors, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to connect shippers with reliable carriers and streamline the transportation of goods. We are seeking self-motivated and results-oriented individuals who are passionate about logistics and eager to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrier and Shipper Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and shippers to facilitate the transportation of goods.
- Load Sourcing: Identify and source available loads from shippers and match them with suitable carriers.
- Pricing and Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms with shippers and carriers to secure competitive rates.
- Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation, including bills of lading and shipping contracts, is accurately prepared and processed.
- Real-Time Tracking: Utilize our platform's tracking capabilities to monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to clients.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or complications that may arise during the shipping process to ensure smooth and on-time deliveries.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipping operations adhere to safety and compliance standards.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and emerging opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry safety and compliance standards.
