Responsibilities:
– Generate leads and identify potential customers in need of freight services
– Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
– Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients and carriers
– Coordinate and manage transportation logistics, including scheduling and tracking shipments
– Utilize transportation management systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy of freight operations
– Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of freight services
– Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management
Experience:
– Proven experience in sales, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
– Strong knowledge of supply chain management and transportation management systems
– Familiarity with pricing strategies and negotiation techniques
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and carriers
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet sales targets
– Proficiency in using software applications related to freight operations
