DESCRIPTION
Dispatchers are communications personnel responsible for receiving and transmitting reliable messages, tracking vehicles and equipment, and recording other important information. The Dispatcher coordinates transportation schedules and organizes company resources to deliver transportation services. The Dispatcher tracks operational events and coordinates responses as directed by management. Responsibilities include coordinating all vehicle movements, managing communication between Vehicle Operators and all other company employees while the Vehicle Operator is on duty, coordinating communication and interaction with the Vehicle Operator when an accident or incident has occurred.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm.

Starting Wage is $17 per hour.

  • Dispatching and monitoring all revenue service vehicles during your assigned shift
  • Monitor routes to ensure proper compliance with regards to slack time
  • Monitor routes to ensure proper compliance with regards to productivity
  • Monitor routes to ensure proper compliance with regards to On-Time percentage
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager to ensure next day staffing needs are appropriate
  • Keep a clean work space
  • Scan next service day in dispatch software ensuring proper pull out times/breaks and reduce dead head travel
  • Place same day rides when requested by CSR’s
  • Monitor dispatch software portal for online additions and place rides on routes as needed
  • Attend Weekly Training
  • Be fully trained and knowledgeable of all MPS safety procedures and policies
  • Communicate to management all safety concerns
  • Communicate to management all incidents/accidents Job Tasks
  • Monitor all revenue service routes constantly throughout your shift
  • Log in to phones and monitor dispatch phone always throughout shift
  • Move rides during revenue service day to ensure proper compliance with on time percentage
  • Move rides during revenue service day to ensure proper compliance with Slack time
  • Move rides during revenue service day to ensure proper compliance with productivity
  • Scan through next day’s routes in Trapeze ensuring proper pull out times/break times and reduce dead head travel
  • Email to management any accidents or incidents that occurred on shift
  • Ensure any injured MPS employee follows Nurse line procedure Job

DRIVER
Work as an extra board driver in times of need where a driver calls out for the day.

REQUIREMENTS
Dispatching experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Available for Day, Evening, Night, and Weekend shifts (Must be flexible)
Communicate
Work well independently
Reliable and on-time
Attention to detail
CDL with Passenger Endorsement is a plus!
