DAC Report: As part of a pre-hiring screening process, most large trucking companies will dig into truckers’ employment and driving records, including any history of traffic violations, accidents or other disqualifying issues. All of this information is stored in a database maintained by a company called HireRight. This company sells Drive-A-Check reports on individual drivers to trucking companies.[/box]

If you drive a truck, you might want to obtain a copy of your Drive-A-Check report because much like a credit report, you might find inaccuracies that can be disputed.
1. Gather required documentation. You will be asked to provide your name, address, Social Security number, driver’s license number and other contact information to obtain your DAC report.
2. Call a HireRight customer service representative at (800) 381-0645 to request a copy of your DAC report. You are entitled to receive one free copy each year.
3. You also may submit a DAC report request online. Visit HireRight’s website at www.hireright.com for the Online Report Request form. Complete the form and submit it. You will receive a report in 10 to 15 days.[/box]
