Duties:
– Lead generation: Identify and pursue potential clients to expand the company's customer base.
– Dispatching: Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers to ensure timely delivery.
– EDI (Electronic Data Interchange): Utilize EDI systems to exchange information with carriers and customers.
– AS400: Utilize AS400 software to manage freight operations and track shipments.
– Data entry: Accurately enter shipment details, pricing, and other relevant information into the system.
– FDA regulations: Stay up-to-date on FDA regulations related to shipping and ensure compliance.
Requirements:
– Experience in freight brokerage or logistics industry preferred.
– Strong communication and negotiation skills.
– Proficiency in using EDI systems and AS400 software.
– Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
– Knowledge of FDA regulations related to shipping is a plus.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
